Compamed is a yearly international trade fair event located in Dusseldorf, Germany with a focus on delivering world-class high tech solutions for medical technology. This year the event occurred on November 16 – 19, 2019. Compamed 2019 featured approximately 750 exhibitors from over 40 countries and according to their official website, this year over 121,000 trade visitors attended the event.
This is a must event for any supplier or manufacturer in the medical supply industry. Compamed allows for the opportunity to meet engineers, product managers, and specialists in a wide range of areas from components, modules, microtechnology, software, fluidics, manufacturing equipment and much more. Parker Precision Fluidics was proud to be a part of this exciting event this year. Here is a quick review of some of the new products we featured at Compamed 2019.

The Helix miniature high-pressure pump
Parker's 49mm wide Helix pump delivers more than 5.5 LPM flow and pressure up to 100 PSI (6.9 bar). The Helix pump provides the best solution for bench-top diagnostic devices where performance is critical, and space is limited. The Helix miniature piston pump enables high-pressure operation in challenging high altitude environments and applications where external compressed air is not available.

BTX-Connect miniature diaphragm pump
Parker's 30 mm wide BTX diaphragm pump product offers market-leading reliability and flow up to 11 L/min. The BTX-Connect pump product line combines best in class diaphragm pump design, innovative ‘connected’ brushless motor technology, ultra-low vibration, and advanced manufacturing techniques to bring a next-generation solution to next-generation device needs. The BTX- Connect pump features a new UART digital communication option.
Interest from engineers was on the UART connection which can provide accumulated hours, on/off cycles, fault conditions, pump speed measurements, and internal temp. Lm-Pro miniature proportional valve
The Parker LM-Pro miniature proportional valve provides unparalleled flow control capabilities to meet your OEM application needs. The LM-Pro valve uses a Patent Pending Linear Motor actuation technology that provides exceptional resolution over a longer stroke and lower power consumption than traditional solenoid or voice coil actuation. With a linear controllable flow range from 0.5 to 540 slpm, pressure capability up to 100PSI (6.9 Bar), and typical power consumption of less than 2 Watts, the LM-Pro valve is a true, one-size-fits-all proportional valve.

Ultra Low Carryover miniature liquid valve
The Ultra Low Carryover Valve features both unrivaled low carryover and the ability to reduce fluidic circuit complexity by replacing one or more valves with a single valve. The valve uses a patent-pending new approach to increase throughput and decrease liquid waste by reducing wash times. Additionally, the Ultra Low Carryover valve offers superior performance as a gradient proportioning valve for HPLC, HbA1c and other life science applications.
