Parker's Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region unveiled a new strategic direction to its team members through a special day of gratitude on December 17, 2018.

Parker CEE employs more than 200 team members across six locations in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia and Turkey. A local steering committee led a refresh of the region's mission, vision and tagline, and chose to introduce it broadly to team members through a Day of Surprise that included personalized gifts and messages of gratitude from Parker CEE leaders.

Coordinators at each of these locations organized a surprise package for team members to find at their desks upon arrival that morning (or in the case of remote workers, in their mailboxes) containing a coffee cup with a thank you letter, some snacks and information about Parker CEE's new messaging.

In addition to showing appreciation for the team members who have helped Parker CEE grow and thrive in recent years, the Day of Surprise was an opportunity for team members to pause and reflect on this new direction, and what it means for each of them individually. The VP of Sales Companies for EMEA region, Michal Grundfest, recognized the benefits of this campaign.

The new call to action, "constantly exceed expectation", is not just for the customer experience or the bottom line, but for the holistic work environment and the people within it.

The best ideas come into being when we stop for a while and let our thoughts go free. That's why each employee has received their own cup to remind you that sometimes you need to make time for yourself.

We want to become a company that delivers value to our customers based on high-quality production solutions, profitable growth, secure and stable environment for team members, and community-supported social programs. We all have to pull the same rope and face this challenge. We have to continually exceed not only the customer's, but also our own expectations.

 

In addition to individual gifts, team members were greeted on the Day of Surprise with new posters, wall decals, video messages and decorations to announce the new campaign.
