Fostering Innovation for 100 Years

Fostering Innovation for 100 Years - Joe Leonti - VP General Counsel and SecretaryFor Parker, product and service innovations have been and will continue to be the centerpiece of its success. Today, Parker has 55,000 team members around the world who develop and contribute original ideas to deliver quality solutions for a wide variety of industrial and aerospace applications. A century of thought leadership has enabled Parker to build and maintain a significant intellectual property portfolio consisting of patents, trade secrets, know-how and other assets critical to its success – from tube and pipe couplings to a powered lower limb exoskeleton. Parker's focus on innovation and entrepreneurialism are key to driving pioneering advancements and growth in motion and control technologies, according to Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Joe Leonti.

"We are the world leader in motion and control technologies and systems, but at the same time, being number one doesn't mean there's a ceiling. We still have a lot of room to grow. The Win Strategy is absolutely the right strategy for our company, and we have an outstanding group of global team members working hard and driving that strategy every day. I think the sky is the limit for us."

Protecting company assets

Parker's sustained value and success in the marketplace also depends on its ability to continue to protect its intellectual property and other critical assets while driving its growth and other business objectives. These assets can be compromised if not properly protected. Among the most essential of Parker's assets is, of course, its world-class reputation, which has been earned through 100 years of hard work and conducting business with honesty and integrity.

"Protecting our company and its reputation and other assets is a responsibility we all share. We can continue to both be highly successful and protect Parker's legacy by conducting ourselves with uncompromising ethics and integrity, protecting our confidential information and inventions, and taking other steps to secure our assets and understand and mitigate the risks facing our businesses. With that kind of focus and commitment, we're poised for greatness in the future."
