Keeping up to date with the instrumentation connection technology that helps you to do your job might seem onerous at times. Despite the omnipresent web, you may well be reluctant to click on ‘for more information’ buttons, for fear of being deluged by unsolicited emails or phone calls from over-zealous sales people. Also of course, you can’t gain any impression of a product’s quality or likely durability without seeing it in real life and being able to physically touch it. Trade exhibitions are one way round this, though they rarely provide an environment conducive to detailed conversations about your own application issues – and you will still need to find time to attend the event, and for any necessary travel.
A much better way is to get the supplier to visit you. On your terms, your premises and at a time of your choosing. Of course, you will probably want to see a broad selection of their products, ideally accompanied by working demonstrations and tailored presentations delivered by professionals who really know their subject. Doubtless you have colleagues who want much the same. Our presentations and training courses can be structured to suit your requirements and cover engineering, project management, safety, installation and maintenance. If this sounds as though it requires well organised mobile exhibition and training facilities, that’s because it does!
The Parker Instrumentation Roadshow is a mobile, self-contained promotional and training vehicle, specifically designed to host hospitality events, seminars, training courses, presentations and meetings. Staffed by experts in Parker’s instrumentation products and systems, the vehicle can comfortably accommodate up to 12 seated visitors at a time – or up to 20 during walk-through style events. It is fully air-conditioned and has its own electricity generator. Amenities include a spacious 5 x 8 metre seating/display area and a 50-inch plasma screen with multimedia playback facilities. The displays include representative application installations, and the products are regularly updated to ensure that you have the opportunity to see our very latest technology.
In the last year alone, the Roadshow has hosted 48 events in seven different countries across Europe and the Middle East. During this time, it has attracted more than 2000 visitors and is widely acclaimed to be a resounding success.
How to book the roadshow to visit you
If you can’t make it to Offshore Europe, why not ask your local Parker distributor or Parker Sales Company to help arrange for the Roadshow to visit your company? You can also book a visit by going to a dedicated page on our Parker website:
The requirements are fairly simple. The combined length of the tractor unit and trailer is 16.5 m and the site needs to be easily accessible to employees, provide a level 10 x 20 metre concrete or hard paving area, and be capable of supporting a load of 35,500 kg. We need about an hour for setup. A typical schedule would see us arrive at 8.00 in the morning and open to visitors from 9.00 until 11.00. Then from 11.00 until 2.00 we would hold training classes for people that you have nominated, probably with lunch or snacks being served on-board. Teardown takes an hour, so we would be ready to leave you by 3.00 in the afternoon. It goes without saying that this schedule can be varied to suit your specific requirements.
